Cookie notice

The short version: wbtechsystems.org sets no cookies at all. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixel and no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, usually to remember a preference, keep you signed in, or record how you move around a site. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage and tracking pixels — do comparable things without being called cookies.

2. What this site uses

None of them. Specifically, this website:

TechnologyUsed here?
Strictly necessary cookiesNo — the site has no login, basket or form state to preserve
Preference cookiesNo
Analytics or statistics cookiesNo
Advertising or retargeting cookiesNo
Local storage / session storageNo
Tracking pixels or web beaconsNo
Embedded social media or video playersNo

Because no cookies are set and no personal data is processed for tracking, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations do not require a consent banner on this site. We would rather not show you one you do not need.

3. Third-party requests the site does make

Two categories of request leave your browser when you load a page here, and it is fair that you know about both:

  • Google Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. This lets Google see your IP address and the fact that a font was requested. No cookie is set by that request. If you would prefer to avoid it entirely, a content blocker will stop the request and the site will fall back to your system fonts and remain fully readable.
  • Our web host. Like every web server, ours records standard access logs — IP address, timestamp, the page requested and your browser's user-agent string. These are kept briefly for security and troubleshooting and are not used to build a profile of you.

4. Controlling cookies generally

There is nothing on this site for you to control, but every major browser lets you view and delete cookies, block them by default, and open a private window that discards them on close. Those settings live under Privacy or Security in your browser's preferences. Blocking cookies site-wide has no effect on how this website behaves.

5. If that changes

If we ever add something that does set a cookie — a client portal, a booking tool or privacy-respecting analytics — we will update this page first, list exactly what is set and why, and ask for consent before any non-essential cookie is placed.

6. Questions
